Artist Matthew Sketch

Matthew Sketch is best known for his use of texture and his ability to take ordinary objects and transform them into the subjects of art. He primarily uses water color and acrylic in his paintings that infuse abstract freeform design with detailed elements. He grew up in Houston, Texas working for many years as a piping designer in oil industry by trade. Matthew's passion for art started as a young child where he began drawing under direction of his mom. Today, Matthew remembers his mother and father (who are both now passed) through his expression of art.  He describes his paintings and art the same way that he describes himself, “simply complicated.”
